Parody Video: Gmail Tap — Two Keyboards, Morse Code and Everything

aNewDomain.net – Welcome to Gmail Tap from Google. Reps at the Mountain View giant say the new keyboard app, which replaces all alphanumeric characters with two buttons — a dot and a dash — will double typing speed. Twice the email, twice the fun and Morse code … what’s not to like? Seriously. Not. This is aNewDomain.net‘s video pick this week not because it’s fresh — this was Google’s April Fool’s Day joke in 2012 — but because it’s still funny.

Google took the time to make fun of itself this year and succeeded brilliantly with this crisp parody of a new and improved keyboard app for Android and Apple iOS.

A parody war of videos has been going on between Microsoft, Google and other major industry players for months and months now. But of all of them, you’ve got to respect a self-parody. This is well-done, funny and — like all comedy — bares more than its ounce of truth. It ranks high on our list of the year’s best parody videos. It comes complete with a site for this parody app for Android and Apple iOS. Find it here. Happy Holidays.
